Qwabena King , known in real life as William Osei Poku is a Ghanaian Hiplife / Highlife Artiste known for his lyrical and unique style of Composition . Music runs in the family as he’s the son of the guitarist of the Legendary Akwasi Ampofo Adjei.He started music when he was a Young Lad and he has over the past few years developed his unique style and musical pattern.
He saw himself in the limelight after featuring “Okomhyefour” on the hit song “Salamatu” which also featured Samini. In fact, Qwabena King is regarded as one of the emerging creative highlife Artistes in Ghana.
Qwabena King has worked with many great artistes in Ghana and released his Debut Album “Afia” in 2010 which featured other great Artistes like Kofi B, Samini, KK Fosu, Voltage , Kofi Nti, Steve Bedi etc.
Qwabena King is a member of the Afro Kings Band, and Under the Management of BossitArmy which has helped him in progressing his career. Now signed under his own record label known as “Sika Dwa Records’ , the Kwahu “Highlifer ” does Contemporary Highlife in a proverbial comic manner which has won the hearts of many Highlife fans .
Qwabena King’s new single “Apemfo” released last Month is gradually climbing charts and rocking party Grounds. The Up tempo song is produced by Riddim Boss who also featured him on his Party Smash Hit Body fi Body which features Patapaa, Shatta Wale, Feli Nuna and Bobo Pee. Qwabena’s goal is to use his musical skills to create awareness to the problems of our society.
